St. Patrick’s National School was founded on High Street, Trim, on 20 April 1909, in a building that had previously served as a Methodist church.
Initially a one-teacher school, St. Patrick’s N.S. historically maintained a modest enrolment. In April 2007, the school relocated to its current premises on Loman Street.
Today, the school has 52 pupils enrolled. It is staffed by three mainstream teachers: Mr Larke, Ms Maguire and Ms Keane. The school is also supported by Special Needs Assistant Bernie Moriarty and a Special Education Teacher, shared by Róisín and Deirdre Kilrane (job-sharing).
