Beverly Joseph shares an update on the fundraising initiative for Christian families in need in Pakistan, and outlines how the money raised is alleviating the suffering brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thank you so much to everyone for your continued support and concern for Christians in Alomahor, Pakistan, who have been helped tremendously by our outreach relief efforts.
It has truly been remarkable to witness the love and compassion shown by everyone who has donated, some two and three times, to help us reach our fundraising goal. It was a joy to not only meet, but exceeded, this goal in the past week.
“Now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” (Ephesians 3:20)
Due to logistical challenges, we have now transitioned the relief outreach to every four weeks with double the amount of supplies, as opposed to fortnightly.
Four weeks ago, the supplies that were given out were twice the amount as given previously, as was the case in the outreach that took place yesterday.
We are pleased to inform you that quite a few of the adults in the families being supported are slowly beginning to return to work again.
Shera, whose story was mentioned in the last update, is now walking with a frame and has much improved in his recovery.
Again, at this stage, we still don’t know how long the need will last so please do share the page with friends, family and anyone you think may like to contribute.
Any contributions will be very welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thank you. God bless you and stay safe! Beverley.
